TRUCK Contemporary Art In Calgary Holiday Market

I can’t believe November is almost over. I pretty much blinked and missed it. And part of that was getting ready for the Truck holiday market!

The market is being held at the TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary gallery in Sunalta (2009-10th Ave SW) on Saturday, November 28th from 10AM-5PM.

There will be many talented local artists there, as well as the Alberta Printmakers, and a used art book sale. I really think this is THE holiday market to be at – so many wonderful and unique vendors!

I’ll have a few new goodies there, including these handmade kitties made from cotton and wool, cotton canvas & leather zipper pouches, and lots of wool wall weavings (some embroidered!). I hope to see you there!

Secret Wool Society at Commonwealth Collector’s Club!

I’m so thrilled to have been chosen as one of the 45 artists and sellers to be featured at the Commonwealth Collector’s Club on September 13th! I’ll be set up there with some of my wall weavings, as well as a few other new products. If you’re local to the Calgary area, come by and introduce yourself!

Secret Wool Society

It is finally here! My new Etsy shop, Secret Wool Society, is open!

I am so excited about it! Can you tell? It has sure been a labor of love, but I’m so pleased with it.

I will still be operating my other Etsy shop, Herd of Cats, and have lots of new products in the works for that shop, but for right now I am focusing all of my energy in to building up stock for Secret Wool Society. There are a few ready-made weavings currently in stock, but I am always up for commissions (if you want to inquire about a weaving, click the “Contact” link at the top of this blog and there is an easy access form there).

I will periodically post shop updates here on my blog, but your best bet is to follow my Instagram where I post pretty much everything as soon as it is finished.

Coming Soon…

It has been a bit quiet around the blog the last week because I’ve just been so busy. It’s a good busy though. I’ve been doing some gardening, some crafting, and most importantly, setting up a new Etsy shop for my wool creations.

I’m so excited to finally be making some of my wool wall weavings available for sale. I realized about a month ago that I really love making them and I was getting a lot of encouragement to try a side business of selling some of them.

The new Etsy shop, Secret Wool Society, will be up and running later in the week (don’t worry, I’ll post an announcement here on the blog when it goes live), but in the meantime, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want to inquire about a custom weaving (the top of the blog has a “contact” link to easily contact me).
